A Booster takes air from compressed air line and increases the pressure for certain applications such as seal testing in pneumatic and hyraulic devices, certain actuating cylinders, presses, clamping fixtures and PET bottle production.

Usually the volume of air demanded at higher pressures of around 40 bar is relatively small so the booster is an economical means of supply and more efficient than to lift the pressure in the complete air main to this level. HERTZ boosters are delivered ready for use and include an air-cooled compressed air aftercooler as standard.

COMPRESSOR BLOCK

  • Heavy-duty type cast-iron crankcases contain oil level indicators on crankcase, blowdown valve and oil fill/drain plugs.
  • Cast-iron cylinders with cooling fins.
  • Dynamically balanced and precisely manufactured sphero cast crankshafts and counter weights.
  • Pistons casted from special aluminum alloy and sphero cast connecting rods.
  • Special design high speed concentric valves made from stainless steel for high.
  • Compression and oil retaining rings.

MAIN MOTOR AND DRIVE SYSTEM

  • In HPC-BOOSTER PLUS series, high efficiency IE3 class IP55 motors working with 400V/3 phase/50Hz power as standard.
  • Direct-drive system with flexible coupling.
  • Special loadless operation system.
COOLING & LUBRICATING SYSTEMS
Two-stage (one for oil cycle, one for air cycle) aluminum combi-cooler radiator.
Deep cooling fins on the cylinders and the air-flow directing canopy.
Directly coupled oil pumpELECTRICAL SYSTEM

  • PLC based control and monitoring with digital display
  • Flexible operation with up to 100 user controlled parameters such as motor switching, inlet and outlet air pressure and temperature, minimum operating pres sure, minimum oil pressure and maximum operating temperature
  • Monitoring maintenance intervals with 5 different pre-defined timer structures
  • Reliable operation by using less numbers of mechanical control equipment like relays and contactors
